Built for a Better World

It may seem a little odd to say: although selling cars is what we do, at Toyota, it’s not why we exist. Our spirit of innovation is inspired by technology as way of improving lives, bettering society, and securing our children’s future. Our mission is to better life for everyone. Because someone must lead.

Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. Recover.

Four words that sum up the environmental task before us. We design Toyota cars to make fewer demands on the environment, by using less important resources and applying smarter and innovative ways of working. When things can’t be reduced, we aim to make them reusable instead. This means designing parts that are easily fixed, retrieving parts from scrapped cars that can be reconditioned, and reusing resources in the manufacturing process.

Not only do we use recycled materials to make new cars, but we also work with highly accomplished specialists to find new ways to recycle individual parts, as well as the resources that make the cars like water and energy. We also try to recover everything we can and put it back into the life cycle of new cars, and only dispose of them responsibly without risking any harm to the environment, when there is absolutely no alternative.

Mobility

It’s not just about the environment. We build cars that work for everyone. Since our beginning we’ve been developing innovative technologies that improve mobility for all. Toyota is proud to be an official sponsor to both the Olympic and Paralympic Games. And we are honoured to be the official partner of Ireland's Paralympic team. Toyota believes in breaking down barriers to mobility, to create a more inclusive society. It is a belief perfectly exemplified by the achievements of these incredible Paralympians.

Our Start Your Impossible campaign showcases the talents of some of Ireland's finest athletes: Jason Smyth, Ellen Keane, Nicole Turner. All of whom achieved amazing success at Tokyo 2020. We are delighted to support them now on their journey to Paris 2024.

Wellfest

We’re delighted to be at Wellfest this year because we believe that everyone who attends lives by a similar ethos of thinking about the bigger picture, and how our actions affect more than our own little world. We’ll be offering six immersive sonic sound baths, as well as guided meditations across the weekend. Plus, we’re giving away a stay in the amazing Finn Lough bubble domes. So, drop by the big red Toyota Dome, say hi, and get an idea of what Toyota is all about. Timings will be announced after Easter, so keep an eye on the Wellfest website and our social channels for announcements.
